ArcLens
Extension Privacy

It reads the job you're on, and copies it. Nothing leaves your browser.

This policy covers the ArcLens JD Grabber Chrome extension only. In short: it reads the job posting you're viewing, only when you click Grab, and puts the text on your clipboard. It makes no network requests and sends nothing to any server.

Last updated: July 6, 2026

What the extension does

ArcLens JD Grabber has a single purpose: to copy a clean, structured version of the job posting you are currently viewing on LinkedIn or Indeed — the job title, company, and full description — to your clipboard, so you can paste it into ArcLens without hand-selecting truncated text.

What it accesses, and when

  • Only the tab you’re on, only on your click. The extension uses Chrome’s activeTab permission, which grants read access to the current tab only after you invoke the extension by clicking its button. It has no standing access to any site and cannot read pages in the background.
  • Only LinkedIn and Indeed job pages carry the parsing logic. On any other page the extension does nothing useful.

What it reads

The job title, company name, and description text from the posting currently on screen. Nothing else on the page is collected.

Where the data goes

  • To your system clipboard, so you can paste it into ArcLens.
  • Nowhere else. The extension makes no network requests, uses no remote servers, sets no cookies, and includes no analytics or tracking. Nothing is stored by the extension after the popup closes.

Data collection, selling, and sharing

The extension does not collect, transmit, store, sell, or share your data. Because the job text is written only to your own clipboard by your own action and never reaches us or any third party, there is nothing for us to retain, sell, or transfer. It is not used for creditworthiness, lending, or any purpose unrelated to its single function above.

Permissions and why

  • activeTab — read the job page you’re on, only when you click Grab.
  • scripting — inject the reader script into that tab on your click so it can extract the title, company, and description.
  • clipboardWrite — copy the cleaned job description to your clipboard.
