It reads the job you're on, and copies it. The extension sends nothing.

ArcLens JD Grabber has a single purpose: to copy a clean, structured version of the job posting you are currently viewing — the job title, company, and full description — to your clipboard, so you can paste it into ArcLens without hand-selecting truncated text.

On an employer’s own careers site or job board, it also offers Follow: one click opens ArcLens so you can follow that employer, and ArcLens then checks the employer’s public job board each morning for new postings. Follow is not offered on LinkedIn, Indeed or other job sites that list many employers’ postings. There, it tells you to click Apply on the posting, which opens the employer’s own site.

• Only the tab you’re on, only on your click. The extension uses Chrome’s activeTab permission, which grants read access to the current tab only after you invoke the extension by clicking its button. It has no standing access to any site and cannot read pages in the background.
• Job pages only. It reads LinkedIn, Indeed and Workday postings, and any careers site that publishes its postings in the standard job format search engines read. On any other page it finds nothing to copy.

The job title, company name, and description text from the posting currently on screen, with the pay, workplace and employment details when the posting shows them. It also reads the label on LinkedIn’s and Indeed’s Apply button, to tell whether applying leaves the site, the page’s address, and where the posting’s Apply link points when it goes to an employer’s job board (it reads the link, never clicks it). Only Follow uses the addresses. Nothing else on the page is read.

• To your system clipboard, so you can paste it into ArcLens.
• To ArcLens, only if you click Follow: the address of the job page you’re on, or of the job board its Apply link points to, and the company name, placed in the address of the ArcLens page that opens. Nothing is followed until you click Follow again on that page. The job text itself is not sent.
• Nowhere else. The extension makes no network requests of its own, uses no remote servers, sets no cookies, and includes no analytics or tracking. Nothing is stored by the extension after the popup closes.

The extension does not collect, store, sell, or share your data. The job text is written only to your own clipboard, by your own action. The one thing that reaches ArcLens is the job page’s address and company name, and only when you click Follow; ArcLens uses it to find that employer’s public job board, and the employer you follow is kept with your ArcLens account like any other follow. Nothing goes to any third party. It is not used for creditworthiness, lending, or any purpose unrelated to the functions above.

• activeTab — read the job page you’re on, only when you click Grab.
• scripting — inject the reader script into that tab on your click so it can extract the title, company, and description.
• clipboardWrite — copy the cleaned job description to your clipboard.
